Alittle history about us. My wife and I were in the remodel business for years and with slow economy and housing market.
After weeks going by and know work, I seen an ad for someone needing a goat shelter. So I figured I can build anything. So I did.
I contacted the gentleman and found out what his needs were. He said" Dean, I need 3, 6ftw x 4fth x 8ft long." I said "ok", Then he told me,"Dean,I need to be able to move it around", "gotcha mobile." He then says to me "Dean I need these under $2500.00." I scratched my head. Thought for a moment, I told im I was not in the business of building these shelters but I could. Let me check on the price of materials. Wow! The price on the tubing and metal sheating. I thought of how much time it would take. So I put all my facts and figures together. I called him to let him know I can do it. However it still was going to be alittle pricey, as I dont make up the price for material, He told me to shoot from the hip and give him the cost, When I told him I could build these @ $650.00 a piece or $1800 if he bought 3. He could not give me the money fast enough. I was so shocked and amazed, I did not know these things are that expensive. So I do research on the net and WOW! some of the prices I seen was crazy..... People mass producing these for $800- $1300 for one. Did I feel ripped off?
Heck no! I felt great that I could provide a service to a fellow Oklahoma with something he needed. Thanks to this One guy I have built alot of different shelters, coops, chicken tractors, Incubators, Brooder Boxes. Then I got an order from nice lady who needed a custom built incubator for her six year old with a brooder combo. The wheels in my head started turning, She tells me that there is a site called BYC.
I looked it up and here I am offering my services to the central/eastern part of OK, I am the HOODOO CHICKEN MAN, a term a gentlman called me one day after delivering his chicken tractor in town, I laughed and laughed. He said you Wow that thing is awsome you put the HOODOO on that chicken man. so I can always tell when he referred some one to me they asked to talk to the HOODOO CHICKEN MAN...
So folks I am here for you. I pride myself in the Quality and Craftsmanship in my product. I Garantee all my work. I can build on site on bigger shelter.
