My son will be deploying in October for 6 months and he was jealous that his sister got to go first, go figure. She may be in line for another deployment around the same time he will be going so I will have both my children there at the same time.

At times the fear and worry of them being there is almost debilitating...but...I have to trust God has them in his plan and who am I to question that. They both have jobs that do not put them on the front line which is somewhat consoling, but not much.

Very, very cool! A big thank you to your daughter for serving our country so we can have our freedom.

I love to roominess of the coop. The only thing I would add to it would be hardware cloth wire along the bottom 24" of the coup and over the chain-link doorway, if it's not already there. That way, snakes and such can't get in or reach in to get the birds.

snakes are definitely a problem. I think I may have already lost one to snake but can't be positive.

all chicks were fine in the PM but the next AM one of them was dead with its neck and head completely wet and its body dry, someone suggested it may have been a snake that ended up spitting it out after it couldn't get the body thru the wrungs of the dog crate they were in.
