Bear with me here; I'm a total rank amateur.

So I have a little wyandotte who I'm guessing is probably 8 weeks old. She's got a cut on her foot, near the back nail. Maybe she got the nail caught on wire. Nail is still intact.

It bleeds a bit, not much, she avoids standing on it, and the worrisome thing is that it feels warmer than her other foot.

I mean, I can't put neosporin and a band-aid on a chicken, can I?

Thanks in advance.

Far North You can put neosporin on its toe but not a bandaid. Watch that the other chickens don't peck it. They will do that You might have to separate it for a while. Good Luck Micki

Thanks, micki! I'll get out the ointment, then. She's already separated because she's older than my baby chicks, so that is easy.
