Name: Cookie Crumbles (aka Oreo)
Age: Unknown
Story: I caught him from the neighbors house. I never knew they were so neglected and unhappy. He was fed and occasionally did not have to scavenge for water. It was not the neighbors fault partly. They were pretty much wild. He had scaly mites and many scratches. I put petroleum jelly on it, and gave him medicine. He got one cup of food a day that he had to share with seventeen other chickens. There were three hens, the rest boys. They would come in groups at a time all fighting over the three girls. Now that I have him he doesn’t wanna go back. Even when I did let him out, he walked back into the cage. The owner doesn’t even notice he’s gone. He is now super happy and the tamest of them all!

I will try to get good pics of two of my birds whose stories I would like to share. Not sure when they would like to pose for their close-ups. Oreo is a beautiful bird, any idea what breed he is? I like his name, too!

Edited to correct many typos. This post was a train wreck. Past my bed time and I can't sleep!

Name: Golden Phoenix Rooster 1 of 3, and Golden Phoenix Hen 1 of 1
Age: 12 weeks on July 3rd 2019
Story: These 2 actually sat still long enough to have their picture taken even though I have other beautiful Chickens. I had just lined the run with old bamboo leaves so that looked nice too. I do not have actual names for my chickens because I have over 200 of them and I can't remember that many names. I bought 4 straight run and ended up with 3 males and 1 female. They have a coop specially made for Phoenix but the silver phoenix I bought a year ago from Ideal died before they were large enough to leave the brooder. I found these for sale as straight run and bought the minimum since I had a coop designed for them.
