This is Blue. She honks. I was worried at first, but she does it purposely. Is it true it may signal impending egg laying? Whatever it is, it is adorable!

Mine did it from 12 ish weeks to 16 ish weeks. I have one that will get excited and honk while running still. I believe it’s there little voices transitioning from ‘peep-peep’ to ‘bock-bock’

We have a bantam cochin called Cotton and she talks the same way - she's got a very distinctive voice. Then we have an old english game bantam who cackles hilariously. I can generally tell who is talking to me from their voice.

Yes, I can too. In that video is flash, she's a black sex link. she whines almost constantly. That can be a bit annoying, so I hope she transitions to honking! lol
