Okk! Here they are! The cutest chicks I'VE ever seen. Who is the cutest of all? Everybody pick your favorite biddy!
(I think 2 of these pics are sideways, sorry. There are 9 total chicks, but 5 of them look almost identical. I put 2 of them in the contest.) Daddy of all is Feisty, the Mille Fleur D'Uccle. The orange one and the cream colored one are from either a Dutch Bantam or an OEGB ( I think, they were in a mystery bin and I've done research as best as I can) and the other mamas are EEs.

And the parting shot. Big Mama, aka Henwyn with her surrogate children. None of them are actually hers, but that never makes a difference, does it?

Awww. Only ONE response? I thought for sure this would be a fun thread for folks to comment on! Bummer! I was sooo proud of the littluns I bred.

Yea, I'm on the west coast, AND stay up late....so you're right. I was just hoping for some fun time on an otherwise uneventful night at home.

Funny how the two chicks voted on so far are not the ones I would have chosen myself. That's why I was so interested in the "contest"...not like those chicks aren't cuter than anything, but not my "chosen ones"... ii can only keep 2 or 3, buthave to get rid of some of my older, less "favoriite" chickens to do so. The DH is fairly adamant about me not becoming a chicken hoarder, as he claims.

We have plenty of space, he just claims "its his yard too" so I have to try to be diplomatic.

Well, YOU don't actually HAVE to choose, but I will eventually. I already like the gray and white one and one of the tannish gray ones. They dont put up any fuss when I pick them up and the tannish brown one already look into my eyes, just like my favoorite EE hen....so I'm hoping for giirls with those. I am handling them all so that when they are grown and I have to ultimately choose, they will all be super friendly. I know there will be some roos, so I'm just keeping my fiingers crossed.

The ones I will have to re-home should bring me a decent bit of cash when the time comes, since they will be well socialized and gorgeous.
