I couldn't keep my first chickens. I had no clue what breed they were. I told mom lady was selling chickens for one dollar, she thought they were like roasted chickens. I went into the backdoor of my friends booth and he said whats in the box and I said

"do you know what chickens eat?" I fed them beef jerky, and cheerios.

Lets just say mom laughed, but I couldn't keep them because of our landlord. so I gave them to a friend and we raised them in his garage. It was pretty fun. They had to give them to an organic egg farm though because of their land lord who originally said it was okay

We named them KFC and Omelet

Speaking of, I too have mine living with me in my apartment. Since chickens are birds, I wont let her take him away.

Star, Topaz, goldie locks, pop corn, gloria, white fang, Maddie, Muffy, Muffin, Roo, Buddy1, Buddy2, Buddy3, Princess, Cutie, Mickey(Snickers), Maisy, Daisy, Dutchess, Saphire, sirfredricksonthethird (Phil), Elvis, Hanzzzzzzzzz, Angel(Bandit), Thief, Nigel, cloey, and the few others that are either unamed or i forgot.

I love this thread, there are some great names on here!!!! I'm currently incubating my first batch of Cochin Bantam chicken eggs and can't wait to use some of these names!!! On the other hand, I do have 5) Muscovy ducks- Dopey Duck, Oscar, Bob, Road Runner & Sweetie Girl, and 2) Peking Ducks- Heart & Buddy.

I have two of each breed so the names must sound nice together. I have:
Wren and Stimpy, Flora and Fauna, Sugar and Spice, Martha and Mary, Lucy and Lady, Thing 1 and Thing 2, Bernina (My other Bernona is gone), Rose and Ruby, and single breeds, Gucci, Penn, Paris, and Jacqueline. I need two names for my Jersey Giants. I like Sherry and Shiela, but have a hard time remembering those two. This thread will help.

my newest name for a chick is "LEG" he/she had a twisted leg out of the shell and my husband wont let me cull him/her. the other chicks accept him/her as part of the group but I don't know what is going to happen when they go out the to the baby house next week--it is a 2 story and at night they have to get up into the top floor to get in their house.

Jiji (Barred Rock) Ji is Chinese for Chicken and both my daughters are Chinese so this was a nod to their birth culture

Ebony (Black Australorp)
Hedwig or Heddy (Splash English Orpington) One daughter is a Harry Potter fan and my husband and I are NCIS Los Angeles fans so this worked for all of us)
