Hi There,
This is Lila Ann today my birds Henry & Henrietta gave me a scare this evening b/c normally my birds roosts up in a tree & by 6:00 pm they will fly up with no problems at all but this evening was a little scary. U see both of them were taking dirt baths at 5:50 pm and they didn't fly up the tree almost 6:35 pm after their dirt baths they seem to have had a hard time flying up the tree! This was very scary b/c after their dirt bath they tried to fly up to the tree but they both didnt make it they fell to the ground but manage to get up the tree the second time around. It hand't gotten dark but was almost becoming dark & i've read that when hens & roosters get blind & they can't see very well is this true? However they did manage to fly up but with lots of struggling. I hope its b/c they couldn't see well & not that theres something wrong with them. I would appreciate it if someone who has experience in raising chickens can provide me an answer b/c now i'm worried if something is wrong with them or if it is due to not seeing well during the hours when its about to get dark & not seeing well. Thanks! Hope to hear from anyone soon!

Luv,
Lila & the birds
Henry & Henrietta
