Fun fact: Stays close to her momma and is becoming quite the stunner. These babies hold a special place in my heart since my first chicken decided to 'help' sit the eggs with the duck momma. Chicken Chicken passed during this time so I consider this baby my chicken chicken duck baby.

Breed: Welsh Harlequin
Age: 5 days old
Fun Fact: Not my first Welshies, but these two have had such a different personality than the others. Meaning: feisty! (Hence the names!) They are a very bonded pair, and were introduced at 4 weeks gradually to our flock through a barrier in the duck house at night. They insisted (demanded) to be with the big ducks and pushed and shoved their way to them despite us trying to keep them separated for longer. They free range in the enclosed run with the big dogs now and have been accepted surprisingly well. They could not be denied!

This is Sage my miracle duckling. He was failing to thrive and was probably around 3 weeks old here. He is a Cayuga duckling. He lived in my room for a long time after this picture while I fed him.
