Okay, I'll play too, but there are already so many amazing and adorable entries!!

First up, Toulouse and Delilah.

Breed: Golden Sebright chick and Ragamuffin Bengal rescue mix cat.

Gender: Unfortunately, despite earlier expectations, both are boys. Oopsie.

Fun Facts: (S)he loved to cuddle up in his soft long fur and he loved her funny little back scratches. Delilah was the first pet chicken Toulouse had ever met, having been a rescue from the streets of Oakland CA. They immediately bonded though and he would cuddle and groom his little friend as though it was his own kitten.

Next I introduce you to my darling Golden Comet sisters, Lucille and Babette, who have both just started laying beautiful brown slightly speckled eggs - on the same day, at only 16.5 weeks!!

Names: Lucille (darker cinnamon) and Babette (white laced)

Breed: Golden Comets

Fun Facts: These two are inseparable! They started laying on the same day earlier this week and even though they lay one after the other and prefer different nest boxes (side by side) they take turns and wait for one another outside of the boxes. When they are both done laying then they hop out and sing the egg song together! Their little Mille Fleur D'uccle rooster Beau paces nervously outside the nest boxes the whole time, then joins them in the egg song! (Also I love that their eggs look like them!)

Okay one more...this was a hard one to pick because I have so many cute little groupings (in a flock of 26, with four+ cats, two toddlers and all kinds of other friends around!).

But here we are, my cutest chick pair!

Names: Gladys (left) and Irma (right)....at least, until we realized they are Fez (Festus) and Rocket. Oopsie, yet again.

Breeds: Buff Standard Cochin and possibly Welsummer.

Fun Facts: These little babes were from my first batch of chickies, so, if you've seen any of my posts from before at all, that will tell you that these two little cuddly sweethearts turned out to be cockerels, despite being sold as sexed pullets. Have you ever seen such cute little fluffy bums though?!

Names: Peggy and Jack
LittleSis&BigBro.JPG

Our house chicken, Peggy, has been with us for a year... inside that is, after she broke her leg and was pushed out of our larger flock. Jack(our 2-year-old Boston terrier) is a sweetheart and these two are like brother and sister. I think it was 2 days ago that I was letting Peggy outside and Jack followed us. They sat at the door quite patiently watching me and waiting for me to open the screen door. So today I went to take a picture of them as a pair. Jack wouldn't sit, Peggy pecked his nose, Peggy was swinging her head, Jack thought I was playing, they both thought it would be funny to try eating my camera. Suffice to say, this is the best picture I could get because Peggy woke up on the wrong side of the... cage I guess.
Edit: it's also about an hour later than we usually let her out so she's a little pissed at the world... she's taken to trying to eat the driveway now that she's being left alone.

Ha! That shows a bit of personality in it. I know that feeling.
