Thanks Tiki...she sure was. She was a mother hen for sure to those two. The worst thing is she was jumped on when a large hen jumped off the roost to the floor and landed on her two weeks prior to the dog attack and we almost lost her. I nursed her back to health and she was perfect again. Then a week afterwards she was attacked and killed

Poor baby! Well actually she wasn't dead but there was no saving her this time my hubby had to finish her off. It was SO sad and he was heartbroken especially right after she fought so hard to live the week before

My 5 year old daughter (4 at the time) "rocking' one of her chicks to sleep and singing her "lullybyes". This is something she has always done with every chick we have ever had! She says they all need Lullybyes to go to sleep!
