Today I decided to get the incubator out to get it ready to hatch some chicken eggs. I plugged it in to see what temperature the setting is at right now. I started it at 10:50am so i think by 1pm or 2 pm it shall be good.

But the cutest thing happened after I set it up. My dog was on his hind legs trying to see what was in the incubator or what the item was on the side table. So i picked him up and he kept looking for eggs. I think he remembers what the incubator is for. lol.

Anyway, I'm getting around 2.5 to 3 dz eggs (hopefully) to hatch. I know i'm literally counting my chicks before they hatch but how much do chicks sell for?

I think it depends on the buyer and breed. We get ours at l & m and they are about 1- 2 dollars depending on the breed. It may be different where you live but hope this helps

So I tested the incubator and the thermometer i had in there (the one that came with the incubator read 100-101)
I have another thermometer (a digital) one but the heat only read 38? I am going to retry with a new thermometer tomorrow. But the humidity is always correct on the digital but it read only 50 humidity... when i add eggs will this climb? or what should i do?

I put water in #1 of the 2 throttles like in the instructions.
What does the humidity need to be at for days 1-18? and then 18-21?
I forgot.
