Cyanobacteria Poisoning the silent killer ( Blue-Green Algae )

I’ve had sick birds that were a mysterious situation. And with all the rain, we have had a blueish green algae growing on the ground. One of my boys has been sick for a week and the vet can’t find why.

Question: does this toxin necessarily kill rapidly? Or can a bird persist for a while?
