Hi! I have an area of garden when’re I am expecting to allow the chickens to roam come spring. Currently it is mulched with playground cypress mulch. I’ve read that cypress and cedar should be avoided around chook bedding but is it an issue to have them around the mulch in an open area? In other areas I’m using pine bark mulch so there will be other types in the garden as well. Thanks!

You do know taht chicken can decimate a garden pretty quickly, correct?

I do not think that cypress is aromatic like cedar can be.
Yes I know they can! I will be fencing off my active beds and let them roam my inactive beds.
It is aromatic but not like cedar and it does dissipates quickly with it being in an open area.
