I have a 3 month old Easter Egger that has suddenly come up with some kind of cyst on her eye. I first noticed it two days ago and have been watching it and her. She is eating and pooping and acting normal. I went back through my photos on my phone and found one from July 25th that shows maybe the start of it? What do we think this is? None of the other birds in my little flock of seven have anything like this.

Does it feel hard? I am not a vet or expert, but those can be little wart-like things, possibly a papilloma from a virus, but it probably is not anything to worry about. One of my roosters had one of those on his upper eyelid that did not change in size.

I wouldn't say it was really hard. I think it's growing slowly. The first photo I posted was from Sunday August 1st and the second photo was from July 25th, which was 12 days ago. I went out and took another photo just now. Its either the same size or very slightly bigger. Its a better photo though so I wanted to post it too.

Update: It appears that although this bird and her two sisters were vaccinated, the pock is indeed Fowl Pox. One of my unvaccinated birds also came down with pox on her wattles, beak, and both feet. So far, the rest of the little flock seems ok. I'm using a homeopathic remedy recommeded for it - natrum muriaticum and I'm putting coconut oil on the pox marks. So far, everyone seems ok.
