What's that spell? Yep, that's right: chicken coop. How is it people stay married while trying to build these $#@&@ things?!?!

Sorry, don't mean to laugh but I've been there, done that. I found that baby roosters crowing on the screened porch (right under the bedroom window) was the greatest motivator to getting the coop done.

I have 8 hens, almost 2 months old & living in our partially finished basement 15 feet from my 1 year old's bedroom. We've had them since they were a week old, but DH didn't like any of the coop ideas I had. Today, he e-mailed me a picture of one he thinks will work --the same one I've shown him 3 times! Instead of d-i-v-o-r-c-e, it may be m-u-r-d-e-r by the end of the week.

Be VERY happy he is in this with you and as his addiction grows so will the designs. Take it from a wifey who knows. Ken is my biggest enabler.

You're right, I am happy he's in it with me. I just wish he'd joined up a little quicker.

I love this! My DH was the one who started talking about chicks in Feb/March and now I am building makeshift coop/runs by myself for them.Got them 3/11 and now it's 5/2!!!!

YAY! I'm feeling a little less crabby now --we've had ours a week LESS than you.

<--this is my victory dance, I hope you don't mind!

My Asst. Prin. might need to read this lol! Between the daughter hatching duck eggs in Flower Mound and the daughter hatching chickens in El Paso, his wife is hooked and making him build a coop in NE El Paso. She found out she can have 3 hens where she lives so he's building a covered 12 foot run with a small tractor, heheheheheheh then I gave her the link to the coop pages on here!

Yeah we still have finishing touches but our chucks have been in ours for a few nights now. And I get you on the frustration level for sure!
