Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

Pics
My call ducks are housed with my muscovy with no issues what-so-ever. I guess you have muscovy drakes, and that could cause issues.
I'd say keep a trio. It's always better for the girl to have the attention shared, right? :)

Yes quite a few, they seem to be sold in pairs around here though

Ah I see

Maybe you could convince to sell them to you in a trio.

Hard to say, they just seem up here to travel in pairs lol Even at my fair there were 4/5? cages that were all divided down by pairs.

You can always get the breeder's name and contact information and try to make arrangements for them to bring a trio along to another show so you can pick them up.

This was at our local fair only held once a year. I know where I can get some more.. coming up in September but i was surprised how around here most sell by the pair.

I notice a couple have a distinct quack, and some are raspy, would it be too early to sex them based on voices?
Just beautiful!! I have 4 Calls and they are the sweetest little things! Love those pastel greys w/brown.

I posted a picture of this little Magpie Call duckling, "Checkers" on another thread awhile back...

... and wanted to post an updated picture of him now that he's almost all grown up!

He's so pretty! I still remember when you posted that first photo of him and I thought he was just about the cutest little duckling ever! Love the markings.
