Pics
Hello~ We are looking for a companion call duck for our female. Does anyone know of a good CD breeder in the Clackamas County (Oregon) area. We would even consider traveling anywhere between Vancouver, Wa - Salem, Or. Thanks for the help~

Hello everyone I have a question, so I just got a pair of call ducks and its going to be winter soon and the pond they swim in is going to be freezing over soon, and their hut is to small for a kiddy pool will they be ok with no swimming water for the winter, we live in Wisconsin.

They MUST have water to survive or else they can't breath, you must dig a hole and fill it with water OR everyday take them in your tub with warm water.

Oh! I thought she meant do they need to have water! Not swimming water! Sorry

I use either a large heated dog dish or one of those rubber livestock dishes with a birdbath heater put in it. It should be deep enough so that they can clean out their eyes and nostrils (at least a couple of inches).

Hello call duck people! We want to hatch some ducks, and we love calls, and we have a friend who wants some too so we think hatching them will be a good idea. However, I've read that they are hard to hatch because of their small bills. We're still willing to try, but could anyone give me some impression of likely hatch rates? We have a brinsea mini advance so we can only set 7 eggs at a time. It doesn't matter how many times we hatch to get the birds we want. Also, what is a safe ratio to keep them in? I've seen 1:2, but is 1:1 ok? I hear they mate for life. Is the issue that if you have more than one male they will fight? Thanks
