Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

He's well loved. He even takes bubble baths with my kids haha. He's a priss too. Walks on a leash(or rides in the stroller when he doesn't want to walk), has never flown, sleeps in a dog bed, will ONLY take warm baths, but only drink chilled, spotless water haha. He's goofy.

Wow, what a primadonna, hehe! Even my tiny Call duck could take him I'll bet, hehe! Or actually, who knows, he's such a great specimen they'd probably wanna make gorgeous babies. I wonder what a white and a pastel would create?

He sounds like a real ham and a joy to own. If you have any videos of him in action I'd love to see! Especially his bathtub escapades :p

He's a pure bred grey :) they'd make cute babies haha!!! And he's tough when it comes to fights! He's taken on our Cayuga's and won! They're afraid of him now! If he goes outside he'll chase them around like a dog chasing a cat, until he's tired and comes inside haha. He's a goof I love him so much

I haven't seen chicken feed in Walmart yet but they would have too much competition anyway. Just off the top of my head, here's the list of feed suppliers within 15 miles of my closest Walmart (places with * are closer to me than Walmart is)
Gerber's Feed Mill*
AgLand*
Feed CoOp*
Rural King
Tractor Supply
Gerber's Feed Sack (outlet for the mill that's in town so you don't have to drive out of town to get feed)

There are probably a couple more I missed, but that's just between me & town or up the road from me. I'm only about 7 miles from Gerber's Feed Mill. About the same from AgLand & the CoOp the opposite direction. I'm literally in the middle of farm country & surrounded by Amish & Mennonite.

wow, that is a massive amount of choice. Not for me, i have to drive at least 20mins one way(so 40mins) to get to one of the mills. Then they are further than that.

It takes me 20 minutes to get to Walmart but less than 10 to get to 3 feed suppliers...lol

Hm, at this time of year I doubt you'll find any...I think your best bet will be an extensive google search for breeders in your area. If you live in a tropical climate you may have more luck with hens laying year-round, but usually they have a microscopic breeding season compared to other breeds!

I really can't believe it a call duck flew onto my property today . It seems to have been once domesticated but derived of human contact for a long time .
