oh, thank you Amykins. I think they are too. No, they never perch on my shoulder nor willingly let me hold them. It is hard being around them and not being able to. On the occasions I do handle them they get the treatment which is lots of kissing.I know what you mean. I never thought in my entire life I'd experience an actual, live breathing duck sleeping all nestled under my chin or perched on my shoulder. There really is nothing like it! Do your finches ever perch on your shoulder, Julie? I hope so. They're awfully cute.

1 black magpie and 4 pied babies. It's getting dark here and no light in the coop so can't be sure of what color pieds they are as I have gray, blue, lavender/silver and fawn & white pied in the flock. I will check on them all again in the morning. She is an excellent momma but if all 16 eggs hatch she is going to have her wings full lol.
