Oh wow, so cute. I love them. Tell her she did a great job.

The babies are coming, the babies are coming

Just checked on momma who has been sitting on a nest of 16 eggs. She has 11 eggs now and 5 little quackers 1 black magpie and 4 pied babies. It's getting dark here and no light in the coop so can't be sure of what color pieds they are as I have gray, blue, lavender/silver and fawn & white pied in the flock. I will check on them all again in the morning. She is an excellent momma but if all 16 eggs hatch she is going to have her wings full lol.

She has 11 more to hatch I could see that 2 of them have pipped but didn't want to disturb her too much. Can't wait to check on them again tonight when I get home from work.

Yes, they are all calls. I have 23 calls. She is a blue fawn but is obviously not the mother of them all. They all lay in the same couple of nests. She just decided to be the one to sit on them all

yay my black mallards are pretty much caught up with pebbles and bam bam. Little nixies is doing great she is Still very small for a black mallard but ehh i guess thats okay as long as she grows up healthy and is able to keep producing the black mallard line its all good . Little bam bam is so cute he like keeps nixie like a mom would a baby is so cute ill have to post a pic of it later.


the grey calls are good they are ready to go out in the aviary if we ever finish it. lol.


how ever little isis and her mandarin friend are more wild. and have always been freaked out by hands even when they were a few days old. Anyway last night mandarin hurt itself and little isis freaked out like major panic mode!!!! it was scary.

1 black magpie
2 gray pied
1 blue pied
1 fawn & white

They're so cute. I could see the pip holes on 2 of the other eggs but didn't want to disturb momma too much this morning. Hopefully we'll have some other adorable fuzzies out by this afternoon
