Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

These are actual tufts, tiny ones, but still fluffy nonetheless. I've never seen it! Wonder if she just has some genetic mutation or something. Her feathers themselves are kind of odd, she changes color seemingly with each molt, and right now the white patches on her head are longer than the black ones so she looks a bit like Ludvig Van Beethoven!

In that picture they are pretty beat down. They are just a line of feathers that look like the feathers on a "normal" duck's head. Of course he doesn't take care of those so they turn into just the quills pretty fast.

I had an albino orp rooster that had teeny tiny dandelion-fluff-lookin' fuzz feathers on the sides and webs of his toes. I just tacked it up to him already having crazy unlikely genes, and it being a mutation.

Aww, that sounds cute. And that's exactly what she has teeny tiny foot-dandelions! Part of me wonders if this could be multiplied, and eventually create a fluff-legged call duck. Buuuut prob'ly not.

Also, is there such a thing as a female call that isn't loud? Does that even exist? Bean's "joker laughs" are getting even more shrill and lengthy as she hits adulthood, LOL! My poor neighbors...

wow, so if I remember, you share a wall with them? And she could be heard thru it? She is amazing between flying, (pre wing clipping), changing colors, yelling loudly, zooming, getting tubed, swallowing metal, surviving her early days. I love her. She a uneek young duck gurl. Oh, and tiny foot dandelions.
