Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

EEEE Crash! She is just too cute! That head tilt photo nearly killed me, it's just too much! She has grown into such a beautiful call duck. <3 I love that bath photo of her doin' a faceplant too, hehe!

Okay, sorry for the major picture overload, but Crash was laying on the cute today and I had to share it here. :D Lots of cuteness to follow!

Bath time!

And last one, I promise! I just thought it was funny. This is how my Speckled Sussex hen, Pogonip, reacted to seeing Crash.

Please, please keep the pix coming. She is soooo cute it's overwhelmingly awesome. Love her coloring and her body and face are an amazing combination of adorableness of bird.

Great pics! I'm curious about the last one. Is Crash unusually small even for a Call, or is that a really huge chicken?

Hmm, I've never thought about it... Poggy's on the large size for a large fowl hen, but not overly huge. I don't think I have any pictures of her that really show her size, unfortunately.

Crashie is pretty small, but she's not much smaller than my adult hen, Trudi. Both of them are smaller than Malcolm. These are literally my first adult ducks, period, so I have no idea if their size is normal. Probably the best (and most recent) picture I have to show their size is this one, where Malcolm and Crash were up against your basic 2x4 inch welded wire fence and 1-inch chicken wire:

And Malcolm and Trudi against more 2x4 inch welded wire:

Don't know if that helps at all to determine their size, and the normalcy thereof...

Yep, pretty normal! Lower-quality ones can be mallard-sized, but both of mine are about that tiny. Like fat pigeons!

They are so cute with their compact round bods. Malcolm's a chubby chunk.

My chocolate hen broke into the boys pen last night. Being the last un-clucky female after the boys had been girl free for up to a week did not end well for her. I suspect they called dog pile with her at the bottom of the pile and the bottom of the pool. Her boyfriend looked on through the fence. Luckily I have a clucky chook to toss her eggs under so hopefully one of her daughters will be enough like her to make up for the loss.

Stupid sex crazed ducks.
