Daft Silkie

Had a couple silkie hens that wern't accepted by main flock and was tired of having them in their own pen so on a long shot I put them in a chicken tractor with with a mix of 6 week old chicks and a bunch of turkeys between 1 and 3 months.

One particularly daft silkie took to feeding the turkeys by grabbing up grass and holding it in her beak until the turkeys took it. Funny to see a silkie thinking she is mama to a turkey 4 times her size.

I think you have potential for a serious broody!

I kind of wish they would be broody, that was the idea behind them in the first place, but they lacked attention span as far as actually sitting on the eggs more than a few hours.
