Daily haul!!!!!

DH went to check the nest boxes this evening and WOO HOO, the molt is over!!! 20 eggs!! Our ten month old girls from McMurray and Cackle are finally earning their keep. The hard work is definitely paying off. Congrats to everyone whose girls are finally laying.

Congrats! Our biggest haul was 28 in the last few days, but we have 40-something layers total. We donated 8 dozen eggs to the homeless shelter yesterday, sold 4 doz, gave 1 doz to a neighbor and another dozen to another neighbor today. And we still have several dozen eggs in the fridge. What on earth will we do if every layer lays her egg on one day??
