About 20 girls fell off a truck on the highway and the animal rescue is scrambling to rehome them.

Just got off the phone with City of Ft. Worth, and according to the employee I spoke with, "all the chickens are gone", which , I hope means they've been re-homed to be pets, not dinner! Thanks for posting the info.

That’s great news! They said they were screening for people who wanted pets not dinner, so hopefully these girls will be able to live out their lives in a comfy backyard. My guess is it was a large laying operation transport that didnt notice a box fell off? But who knows.
