I'm sure shock is playing a part too, plus losing your best friend in the world can be very lonely. Are you looking for Toaster a friend?Toaster is eating and drinking a little but won't leave the water bowl
That's great hopefully soon Toaster will have a friend.Yes we're looking! I know a lot of people who have ducks and I'm asking if any of them are looking to rehone some. If not then rehoming forum or craigslist and petfinder.

.I held him before lots of times, I don't think he ever enjoyed it but he tolerated me, I went into his pin and picked him up and pet him for ten-ish minutes, after I put him down I think he attacked me!
He started vibrating his head and neck and ran his beak over my leg and jumped up and started flapping his wings and I think he bit me once. I feel like he's saying: "I trusted you to keep her safe and now she's dead" I feel so guilty and Toaster rejecting me doesn't help.
. Which is understandable. I'm sorry it didn't work out. How has he been doing? I'll keep praying for you both.
