damaged lower beak

a month ago, one of. my rooster got into a fight with another rooster and it's lower beak got damaged and becomes shorter. will it comes back to original form? I heard people saying it will not grow back to original, I'm anxious about it šŸ˜ž I also attached a picture of its beak before the injury (the one inside of the limber)

Can he eat and drink without issue? Does the beak seal properly? It doesn't look like his tongue is hanging out of his mouth or anything.

Crossbeak chickens have a much more dramatic deformity, and so long as they can eat and drink, they often live long healthy lives. I think your guy will be a-okay.
