Well...I lost my boy Amelio yesterday. He valiantly saved his girlfriend's life from a fox and I'm thankful to him for that. I miss not hearing his handsomeness crow in the morning.
But...to be honest he was causing alot of ruckus between the girls. He would protect his gf and attack the others. He was able to be "got" because I had to separate him and his gf from the rest of the flock because they were ganging up on everybody. So they were able to get outside on a side of the coop I couldn't see.
This was during the day so I'm guessing the coyotes are pretty thick here right now and the foxes are hunting during the day instead of at night.
Rest easy handsome man. You're a hero and we all know it!!
