Thank you! Yeah, I have blue salmon bantams now....they are just a few weeks old & still occupying a spare bedroom, LOL I should have some eggs this spring. Yeah, the rooster in my avatar is mine...Rufus is such a brat! LOL He's a project mille fleur cochin roo. I've been getting some gorgeous babies from him & Harriet!

Holly, aren't you afraid to lose a finger?

I still haven't gotten up the courage to pick one up. Sillybirds said I would, but he's wrong.

I have this worm phobia. I have no problem raising them (sort them with spoons) but my dad used to have us go nightcrawler hunting and I can't stand holding any type of worm now.

Heather, if you have any of those bantams left in the Spring- pullets of course (No roos! We have neighbors!lol) - I'd be interested in getting one, I'm sure!

(I realize you probably won't have anymore by then tho)

Rustyswoman, nah, 3 of my 4 already peck/eat out of my hand. I've been pinched a little, twice, by Welsummer but it never breaks the skin

Remember that my birds are very small- I probably wouldn't be so confident about a 9# chicken or a turkey pecking me!

You know, mealworms come in many sizes. The super giants could be creepy to people, I guess, but the regular larges don't move very much (they're refrigerated). Nightcrawlers are long, moist/sticky, and move a lot- Of course that can be Icky! Mealworms are dry.

You should seriously try it! The chickens go NUTS. NOW when I step out back, all four of them run at me so fast, they're flapping their wings trying to FLY to me- Their little feet leave the ground between flaps. LOL It's uber funny!

I WILL STARE AT YOUR FINGERS AND YOU'LL DROP THE WORM.
DO YOU HEAR ME, HUMAN?
DO WHAT I SAY AND DROP IT...
DROP IT...
I MEAN IT!!! FOR THE LOVE OF WORMS, DROP IT!!!!
