Dark brahma pullet?

I got this lil booger the other day they said she was a dark brahma pullet but I'm not sure any help opinions

Where did you get her and how old is she?
Maybe @MysteryChicken can help with feather sexing if she is within that age range.

By looks, we are unable to tell sex at this age, but if you spread out her wings and take some pictures, Mystery might be able to help you.

Ok thanks I got her from local feed store idk what hatcheries they use but I'm pretty sure under 5 days old

Can you get pictures with it's wing fanned out? Would be a good practice chick, since I haven't used the method on a Brahma.

Looks a little light imo to be a dark Brahma. This was one of mine when they were around that age. They had a lot of coloring in the face too. Can’t really tell if yours does or not.

To me it looks more like a buff. Here was one of my buffs.

For a comparison here is a buff and dark together.

The one closest to the bottom and to the right are dark brahmas. The one above is a buff Brahma.

Looks to be a Dark Brahma. Too young for sex. Wait until it starts to develop breast feathers. Solid colored indicates cockerel instead of penciled like a pullet
