Dark Brahma vs White Leghorn

Well the local co-op is bringing in some chicks, and I wanna get some before they run out. For this run it’s, Dominiques, red and black sex link, gold wyandottes, dark Brahma and leghorn. I think I’m going to get a equal amount of brahmas and leghorns. How many? Well we will see how I feel when I see the cute chicks.

I had heard a ton that Leghorns were super flighty but that wasn’t my experience at all. Mine was super calm, curious, friendly, and quite industrious. Excellent forager and layer while the others would make me dig holes for them so I would say go for the Leghorns! Although I’m sure Brahmas are great too. I’ve never had them but they seem nice. They probably eat a lot more though being so much bigger but if you don’t mind that then I’m sure they’re a good option. I think your idea of getting some of both is an excellent one. Oh and I had several Orp/Leghorn mixes and Orp/Leghorn/EE and they were all calm too.
