Dark comb, slow & sickly 7 year old Buff Orp hen

Terramyacin won't help, it is a broad spectrum antibiotic, you have to treat with a respiratory antibiotic.

* I'd try some Co-Q-10. Say 10 to 30 mg.. . Open the cap and add it to her food once or twice a week. I really think it saved mine a couple times. It's used for congestive heart failure. Boosts heart muscle strentgh & reduces fluid in lungs & edema, increases stamina & physical energy. . .

Good news (I hope I hope I hope). Hannah seems to be better after starting her on Terramycin 3 X a day by beak. I don't know co-Q-10. Where do you get it? Wouldn't vitamins help her some? Also, don't know where to get the injectable drug. Would the feed store have it?

* It is a nutritional supplement. Any place that sells vitamins will likely have it. I've found it at Walgreens, Walmart-- even Costco. Dosages are getting very large lately-- but I've given Chook 150mg. Mixed in a days (3 svgs) feed about 6 times w/ nothing but a whole lot of energy as an ill effect. . . A slightly hyper-chicken.

Here's another symptom I forgot to mention.

She likes to sit with her chest up against the trunk of our Giant Sequoia tree. She did this last year also when she had problems like this (not nearly as bad as this year's problem). Any guess why? Do you think she's in pain? I could try the aspirin thing

Where could I get the injectable Tylan???
