I am very new to BYC, just signed up. I love this website! We have raised chickens for around 12 years, but never any of the cornish breed. We are having 10 dark cornish bantam chicks arrive this week. They are such a muscular bird. How should they be fed? What should they be fed? Should they have more protein , than what is in the regular layers ration? Just wondering. THANKS!

from Ohio. So glad you joined. I would feed them just like any other chick. 20% to start, then drop to 16-18% grower around 10 weeks, then go to a layer feed when they start to lay eggs. My feeders are always ful. Good luck.

order some more...like the spangled, the red laced, the blues,...you need all of them basically!

I feed mine like I would any other chick!

The next step is to get another breed and cross them so you can have your own breed! I am crossing mine with japanesse bantams and they are gonna be sumo wrestlers!

Thank you for all the welcomes! Teach 97, I can't wait to see your sumo wrestlers! I hope you post some pictures! Thanks again.
