Dark Cornish Rooster and Production Red hens

We got a Dark Cornish rooster last fall and decided to let one of our hens sit on a collection of eggs. We had 7 hatch right before Valentine's Day.

Thats awesome!! I have heard that the dark cornish roosters are very protective of their flock. They (I have heard) will even chase hawks away!! It is exciting to raise chicks! Letting your hens do the work is even better!

If I could figure out how to post pics, I would. Right now they are about 4 weeks old, primarily red but starting to show some black.
