Yeah, I have never gotten anything from a hatchery, never know what you'll end up with. I have a habit of trying to find uncommon things that are good quality. It's hard!

Ok dark eggs - med dark - med color eggs - white eggs .......BANTAMS EGGS Which I know are half the size of reg. egg or it would take at less 2 batmans eggs to equal 1 med to large eggs .....but ....but .......... whats the difference ...... I had them all Fresh eggs that is all colors and shape , all seem the same to me ..... why do people perfer certain color eggs ....why tell me why

Yeah, why? They all taste iccckkkkyyyyy!!!

The darker one is my Cuckoo Marans egg, they are not as dark as the Black Copper Marans eggs get (I have those that should lay in the Spring), and the flash really lightened them up, there is actually a very green egg in the pic also too!....the lighter brown is my Australorp egg, the others are my lighter egg layers.

DaKid, I have chickens that lay whitish eggs and my araucanas will lay blueish eggs so I need some that lay brown eggs! I guess cause I think they are purdy. I know they don't taste any different. Some people like red cars, some like black, just personal preferences.

I say Marans and Welsummers too, for the dark chocolate eggs. I think the grocery probably uses Buff Orp, Barred Rock or Sexlink for their 'creamy brown' eggs, just because they're so common and easy to get ahold of. Our organic, free range eggs in town are pretty light colored.

just personal preferences.

that what I was thinks , my wife always would buy the large brown eggs in the market then I PROVE TO HER that color don't matter I purchase white eggs and brown eggs cook them both up one morning for her at breakfast ...not to often I do that ..... after she eat her eggs I ask did you see or taste a difference in the eggs she REPLY NO WHY , I say you just ate 2 white and 2 brown eggs , know that we are raising or should I say I'm raising chickens with both white and brown egglayers , all are cook the same and taste the same to us even the bantams eggs taste great for a fast fry egg sandwiches LOL
