Yeah, right now we've got a 10-mile charger hooked up to one little chicken-yard.

In a couple of weeks, the turkey yard will be connected, so at least that will use up a little more of the charger's power.

"Hot-wire" is just country for "electric fence."

I lost 6 chickens last fall before we found out it was a coon.It squeezed through holes I couldn't believe.We hooked a baby monitor up and as soon as we heard the chickens fussing DH went out and shot it while it was still in the pen.I hated doing it but those were my babies.
