DARN.... FOX HAS KILLED MY CHICKENS

we have lost 9 chickens within 2 weeks. He has been seen trying to get into our small coop and running on the property. He will be shot!! I lost a cochin...she was my housechicken......2 tophots.......3 sultans....a beautiful rooster.......and a lavender oppington and a buff hen. I have given up on chickens. I do have a few but they aren't real friendly. Once that red fox is dead I will be getting the tail. **** I miss my chickens.

I'm lucky I almost lost my chickens to a fox but I went outside just in time sorry bout your chickens i would be sad too.

I, too, have lost a chicken to a predator. My condolences, it is very hard. Don't give up! You can learn from this by taking protective measures (update coop, set traps, etc.). Once again, I'm very sorry.

A fox killed 6 of my chickens a few days ago before we even knew what was going on outside and could run it off. Darn fox got away before I could get my gun handy. Don't give up on your chickens! He'll be back and just make sure you're ready to get him.

I always set traps like i caught 24 coons last year and 8 this year so far.
