Left the hose running in the horses trough. Now I have no water. Hopefully my pump isn't fried.

Guess I'll be bathing with the horses today.

DH is not happy.

Im gunna show him this post

Someone should invent a hose end timer that shuts off after an hour or something....

or I should just pay attention.

I've done that.... a few times.

I repeat it to myself until I get back to the spigot... "turn off the hose...turn off the hose..."

They already invented one they have timers for those things that you can set that it will go off after a certain time i have one that i keep set for 12 hours a day and the other 12 it stays off

for a water hose?? really? What is it, like a sprinkler timer? Hmmm...I wonder how expensive they are.

There is a float you can put on your stock tank. You screw your hose into the float and leave the hydrant on. When the water gets to a certain level, the float allows the water thru to fill the tank then shuts off again.

***I must admit, DH knew this and not me***

yeah like a sprinkler timer i got mine at lowes their not that expensive 8 bucks or something like that i figured it was a small price to pay because my kids kept leaving mine on i never ran out of water because mine is a great well but electricity bill is high enough without that going on
