Daughter Showing for First Time - Ques. About Blue Silkie Cockeral

Hi all! My 11 dd is showing for the first time. She wants to show this blue cockeral. Do the white feathers on his feet need to be plucked before showing? Thanks, Pam

I've never had much luck pulling foot feathers--thbe quills are so very thick. I've been told (but never tried) that using pliers will help. Be aware that it takes about 6 weeks for the feathers to grow back. Make sure to have quik-stop or other blood clotting product at hand incase the feather bleeds.
