Daughter Worried

Our Muskovy female is sitting on eggs. She is making a weird noise now. It’s a squeak or peep instead of her normal trill.
My daughter worried about her.
Also we have a khaki Campbell and they seem to be tandem sitting on the eggs. It’s so odd. They actually made a nest inside the cavity of a deer decoy. And they’re both sitting on the eggs.

My mallard derived ducks make different noises when broody and/or talking about eggs. They also sit on eggs together.

Yes! Thanks for the tag. Muscovy switch to a broody squeak and that is their main noise while they are broody. Its very squeaky and completely normal nothing to worry about!

Oh thank God. We love this silly girl. We thought she was a boy for months. So her name is Duke. Hahaha. I actually had to peel her out of her shell when hatched. And people on here helped me. Thanks

My daughter is now asking how long will they be broody for?

they have every kind of egg imaginable under then.

If she is incubating eggs, she should stay broody until they hatch. Muscovy eggs take 35 days generally.
