Thank you all...I am very proud of her. The funny thing about her solos (she played Amazing Grace at the Winter Concert) is that she volunteers to do them, auditions and does them. She is the only one that does solos. The other kids will not even try. When she asked what I thought about her trying one I told her "You practice playing various music at home all the time, pick a song you enjoy playing and go for it".
Cyn...did you notice her hair cut? I cut about 11 inches off the length. She had split ends and such so I trimmed it up. DH had a fit! LOL I want to do an experiment when I get out that way. I want Cheyenne to play the Sax for Suede and your crew. LOL I am curious if it is just that our chickens are used to hearing her play all the time or if it is truly music to their ears in general.
Cannonball is especially enthralled with it, she just goes into a trance almost when she is playing...she stands outside Cheyenne's window and just listens.
Sonoran Silkies I think once I get settled in Kentucky I am going to buy the family a nice video recorder and tape many of them.
Cute story for you...
I am sitting her one day working on quilt blocks and I hear her CD of the Harry Potter soundtrack from Order of the Phoenix playing, stopping, rewinding, playing stopping etc...this went on about 10 times and just as I was about to lose my mind and tell her to stop it, she started playing the exact same piece of the song on her sax. I about fell out of my chair.
