"She's... dead...." He choked out the last word.

"What!? N-no y-you can't kn-know that!" Wintent said.

"I didn't realize till just now, but the direction that Tasha went towards was the way of the Japanese camp area... And the gun shot after she had been gone too long... I know that I'm right, but I wish I wasn't..." He said.

Wintent felt tears well up in her eyes she looked down at her lap the tears falling.

He put his arm around her shoulder. He couldn't say anything, his throat seemed to have locked.

Wintent cried silently her shoulders shaking.

He hugged her tightly, holding back his own tears.

Wintent sobbed into his chest gripping his shirt like a small child

Noah hugged her tighter. He stroked the back of her hair, a tear sliding down his cheek.

Wintent slowly cried herself to sleep.
