Dawning of war ~ RP

Finally, Julie froze in place. She was in front of a house. It was fairly large, but broken. It was white, stained with the soot and smoke from the bombs. A tear slipped down her cheek.

She walked in through where the door use to be. Inside she walked into a large room with polished tiles that had broken and lots of broken counters. This room use to be the kitchen, as Julie remembered it.

She walked down the hall to a room. It had a large, caved in bed, the roof had collapsed on top of it. It use to be her parents bedroom. She bent down and picked up a picture frame. The glass was shattered, but the picture was fine. The picture was a family portrait with Julie, Noah, their mom and dad, 2 younger girls, Maddie an Clara, and Bo, her younger brother. She sank to her knees and buried her face in her hands, sobbing loudly. Her heart ached. It felt as if her heart was shattered, not the glass of the picture frame. Tears streamed down her soft pink cheeks.

(Sorry, it was a very long post...)

(It's ok)

As Tyler dug, he saw a crumpled piece of paper, the edges black from fire. He carefully unwrapped the paper, and on it was drawn a picture, a picture of a girl and a turtle. The little artist couldn't have been more than four or five years of age, as the picture was drawn in crayon. A single tear trickled down Tyler's face, but he wiped it quickly away. So many memories forgotten. So many people dead. So many hopes, that had once flourished, had crumbled away into ashes. (Gtg, be on laterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.)
