Pre-fab coops NEVER hold nearly as many birds as they claim. You should seriously consider increasing the size of your coop (by building a new one). You can rather easily convert an old shed into a coop.

It's best to continue feeding what they were eating to avoid digestive issues. If you want to switch them over in the future to a new brand of feed, slowly convert them over by mixing in the new feed over a months period...25% new feed on week one, 50% week two, and so on.Hi. We have converted one of our outhouses into a chicken run. It has a tiled roof and 2 of wooden sides have been opened up with chicken wire panels. The Solway coop is really quiet big tbh. I think we are ok for just the 3.
I didnt know some chickens didnt like pellets! Will call the lady I bought them off of and double check what they were fed

Welcome to BYC! Lots of awesome people and info here!
My chickens used to sleep on the ground in bedding nests overnight , but during the day they would use the roost bars. As long as the feed is clean, I would leave it go. It might take them a few days for them to get fully adjusted to their new home and then they will likely eat more.
