I tried for many years keeping my incubator at 50 to 60 humidity for 18 days...never worked, small to zero hatches, this year I went 25-30 % humidity ..lockdown at 60-65%.....80% hatch rate,I only breed Brahma's ....bantam breeder may be different due to smaller egg size.

I never could find a reliable hygrometer that would stay calibrated so I quit measuring humidity. Instead, I bought a gram scale and weigh eggs when I set them and then 2 or 3 times during incubation. They should lose and average of 0.65% weight per day. That is how I track humidity. If they are light from where they should be for the day, I add water. If they aren't losing enough weight, I vent off some humidity for a few days.
