1 purebreed brown leghorn, 4 unknown brown leghorn mixes, 2 Americana brown leghorn mixes, 1 black sex link brown leghorn mix, 1 sapphire gem brown leghorn mix, 1 red sex link brown leghorn mix, and 1 buff orpington brown leghorn mix.

How many did you start with? I started with 11 and all of them were fertilized and all are developing.

How many did you start with? I started with 11 and all of them were fertilized and all are developing.

I started with six but it looked like they had a rough ride through the mail despite getting to me overnight. They all started but the other 5 quickly died off. Their air cells looked like wobbly jelly and a couple of the yolks didn't look like they were sitting right to me - they looked far too sunken towards the narrow end of the egg. I'm just hoping my one little one makes it after all the effort and worry, especially seeing as I managed to find two little chicks to be friends for it (not easy in autumn in New Zealand).

I know it wasn't my incubator because I had been incubating Muscovy eggs and they grew beautifully.
