First time incubating, started with 20 eggs but knew my rooster was only doing a so so job. Had 8 that started growing and I saw movement in 7 of the 8 today at day 17. I'm so excited but I know that after lockdown tomorrow I am going to have a really hard time doing nothing. I am so hands on but I want the best chance for live chicks that I can get. Some eggs look more full than others but I'm not all that surprised since I have a Bantam Roo with my 3 full size hens. My girls are all red sex link hens and my roo is a Barred Rock looking Bantam. So who knows what these chicks are going to look like if any hatch. I'm getting really excited and am hoping for the best. Will fill the bottom of my bator and all the cups with water tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed.

Good luck with it, patience is sooooooo hard when hatching but always works out best. I know alot of people and myself included have interfered to soon and ended up doing more harm then good with the first ever hatch. If you have any questions or worries just post here and someone will help no problem :) :)

Cool! Mine are hatching this Friday! :) I'm guessing yours will look like small sex links or they might have the barred rock pattern u never know!!:p hope they all hatch:)
