Day 17 eggs moving!!! What do i do?!??!

Well firstly just refresh my memory and tell me what breed they are. I also need to know your humidity at the moment.

i have no idea what breed they are! I got them from a lady that we gave our roosters to. My humidity is about 43%. I had a post earlier where people said my air cellls were too small. So, i dont know if i should bump it, or let it be.

Ok, well just leave your humidity alone for now and they're not too far off. By now you should stop turning the eggs and leave them in a horizontal position. The chicks are wriggling to move into their hatching postion. If you candle the eggs mark the side of the egg where there is the most air cell.

LAY THE EGG INTO A HORIZONTAL POSITION WITH THE GREATER AMOUNT OF AIR CELL TO THE TOP

AN EGG IN ITS HATCHING POSITION VIEWED FROM ABOVE AND WITH THE AIR CELL OUTLINE IN PENCIL.

With the eggs placed in the hatching position you can then stop turning. If you remove them from the incubator and hold the air cell end to your ear then you may hear a faint but regular clicking sound. This will confirm the chick has internally pipped and is beginning to breathe using its lungs

Does it hurt them to candle this far along?

no it doesnt hurt them most people candle on days 7, 14?, and 18 when they are lockingdown...i think its 14 it might be day 10 hmmmm. i'm gonna candling at days 5, 13, and

edit: lol if candling doesnt get the best of me

Remember to raise your humidity when the eggs externally pip. How are the eggs coming along?

I got my first pip this morning! And now a few of the eggs are peeping and violently moving!!!!
