day 18 22/1/2013 please help

OMG im on day 18 I've just come home from shopping and i can hear chirping i looked and i got a little crack in the egg. im so excited can't wait.

Congrats. If any hatch just leave them in there and dont open lid. Chicks can go 3 days with out food or water because they are already full from eating the eggs yolk and stuff.

;hi tash, i see u got it to work.

i actually got an email from the manugacturer asking what i needed to know about the incubator... so i will write him some questions..

actually, because we had so many different dates of eggs in the bator we opened and shut quite often; hubby would lift slightly and i would splash somewater in to the well; turn the eggs that needed turning and leave the eggs that were in lockdown (we marked them differently so no mistakes) butr frankly when some hatched they played kickball with all the eggs so it didnt seem to matter. the second hatching i did we went more by the book and fought with hubby NOT TO OPEN THE INCUBATOR ... every time he got the urge to open i shoved a beer in his hands :) ... and lots more hatched.

now have 8 of ours, 9 from broodying hens that couldnt take care of their babies, and expecting that tomorrow hubby will have to bring up more babies since our coop is a bit problematic for chicks...

now i have no more eggs, and no more room, but want to incubate more...

Some time on the 22/1/2013 day 18 during the night one of my babies hatched. howlong do i keep them in the incubator for before taking out.

Nok13-
Im glad you got answers from company the instructions are so non informative.its a great bator i love it. but instructions were crap . i wanted to watch the birth but oh well i still got more eggs to watch. i can see that my chick has pushed eggs out the way and some have rolled i hope none broke. but as i look closer i can see them rolling them self so might not be long till they hatch.very exciting times ahead.

The chicks can stay in there up to 72 hours with no food or water. So i would leave them in there if possible till all or most are hatched.
